Mommy dress-up. My girls picked the dresses, and I tried them on. They laughed so hard. I still think I'm young... they think I'm so old!
Princess mommy
More camping... and no rain this time!
Fun with friends and cousin Eli at Hogle Zoo
So... I decided to do a girl's camp out at the Spruce's campground. It rained 90% of the time! We set up the tent in the rain, built a fire in the rain, sang songs in the rain, created and performed skits in the rain, and slept in the rain. And guess what? We loved it!
Seriously, I'd dress up like this every day if I could... and live in a castle.
Keep dreaming!
Princess mommy
Princess mommy... and her dress that takes up the entire couch.
I tell my girls not to climb on furniture... but there's an exception when you're being a silly mom!
Overlooking the Copper Mine
Brook and Sophie... and 56 degrees on 8/26!
Sweet Bre... freezing, but posing long enough to let me take a picture.
We had so much fun this summer up Butterfield Canyon. I took each of the girls up for a mommy/daughter date and we laid in the back of my car reading Boxcar Children, playing games and eating snacks.
I love spending time with my girls!
More camping... and no rain this time!
Brett wanted the girls to learn three different ways to make fire...
without matches.
Let's just say one out of three worked... but we had fire!
My cute little drama queen, Brooklyn
If there's water, Bre has her rain boots... let the splashing begin!
Brook created many sharp objects... and, yes, I took one in the cheek.
I found this log and insisted we put it in the fire pit.
It lasted MANY hours... ha-ha!
The squeals as they crossed the log made my heart sing!
We went to Dylan's birthday party at a train store... and rode the train.
Nice shootin' gals!
Watch where you're pointing that thing!
Girls with guns... oh yeah!
My girls could spend HOURS at the Cracker Barrel store!
Bre's must-have manicure before school starts... makes me laugh.
My girls will never be too old to feed the ducks and geese at Wheeler Farm... and never to old to have stick races in the stream. Brook won this time!
Fun with friends and cousin Eli at Hogle Zoo
Eli, Brook, Karson and Hudson
Brook's going to make a great mommy one day!
Auntie Anj, baby Eli and a wild kangaroo!
Such a sweet boy.
What kid passes up the big water ball at the Hogle Zoo entrance? None!
Eli and Chase... ready to blow out the candles!
Auntie Anj and Eli hanging out at the pool together
Don't tell... but I think my shoe is a hat!
Cousin time!
Eli wanted Bre to get in the pool so bad... so she did... clothes and all!
Such a great cousin!
Water balloons? Oh yeah, baby!

A soaking wet mommy setting up the tent
Sitting around the campfire... using umbrella's to keep us and the fire dry!
Bre trying to lure in the wildlife with food and song
Notice the smoking fire. Everything was so wet! I had to use an entire bag of pita chips as kindling to get the fire started. Luckily we got it hot enough to cook breakfast!
We cut an orange in half, ate the orange, poured in muffin mix, secured the orange in aluminum foil and guess what? Yummy breakfast!!!
Bre and Whitney playing in the river...
... and showing off their rain boots.
Peek-a-boo... I see you!
More like sisters than aunt and niece
I loved this view... it spoke volumes! Two rivers flowing into one... just like our lives. Every person we meet adds to our river. It gets bigger and deeper.
Golf definitely didn't happen as much as I'd hoped... but spending time with my girls did. That's what matters!
Brett took our girls fishing a few times. Brook likes to catch them, but she hates to touch them!
We bowled with my aunt and her friends. I love being around those with special needs. Such sweet spirits!
Brook, Sophie and Elsie attended the One Direction concert! Brook had ringing in her ears and a sore throat for 3 days!
Anj and Hudson chillin' in the hammock. Love that boy!
Karson, Hailey and Brook playing on the trampoline with the sprinklers turned on and throwing water balloons.
Brook, Anj and Bre at Deer Valley watching Wicked Diva's. Loved it!
Beautiful Bre... waiting to hear Popular, Defying Gravity, Think of Me, For Good, and many more!
Smooth Brook sporting her shades and warming up in her jacket and under the blanket. The sun hadn't even set yet! So I got her mind off the chilled mountain air by playing a rousing game of Phase 10 while eating salt and vinegar chips and drinking fresh-squeezed lemonade. Great times!
We spent countless hours at the pool with cousins and friends. The water balloons just kept getting bigger and bigger. Good thing cousin Cody was there to haul them around!
We attended the Pioneer Day Concert at the Conference Center...
...with our beautiful daughters and their friends, Gabby and Sophie.
And then we introduced their friends to Leatherby's. Yum!
Brett bought us season passes to Cowabunga Bay. We spent many days there enjoying the sun, slides, lazy river, kiddie area... and just goofing around and laughing. I love hanging out with my girls!
Bre, Whitney and Book are about to get their rodeo on in Bluffdale. Yee-haw! Their favorite part? Watching me pull faces, hide my eyes and scream with fear during the bull-riding.
